It’s just ridiculous that this is even a thing. You’re saying that something isn’t plausible because it doesn’t work that way in normal human biology? Right on! I’m totally with…oh, wait. Explain the part where she’s 200 years old to me again, I’m a little fuzzy on the normal human biology there.
Yeah, I’m a little confused as to how people live over two centuries with normal human biology, or how someone can die and come back from the dead more than once (I’m looking at you, Will Zimmerman) within the boundaries of this show but it’s just so darn implausible that maybe the Source blood might have altered Helen’s physiology and made her generate far more ova than a normal human being.
what I love is the idea that getting Helen pregnant is stupid, but the canon fact that she froze a naturally-conceived embryo for any amount of time and then had it later is completely a-okay when it actually can’t happen in real life. (embryo conceived in vitro can be frozen, but you can’t remove an embryo from the womb and save it for later. IF ONLY.) You have to accept a whole lot of shit that can’t actually happen in real life for this canon to even exist. I mean, we’re talking about a show where people shot up vampire blood back in ye olden times and it gave them special mary sue powers, okay? Helen getting pregnant in a fanfic is by far one of the LEAST ludicrous propositions out there. Jesus Fucking Christ. Find something else to bitch about.
Guys. I think you should all take a breather. I didn’t tag it as Sanctuary. I didn’t tag it at all. I was making an observation. I haven’t gone round stomping on your fics individually. Granted, I probably should have phrased it better, and now that I have read comments, I can see how it could be possible despite her age. But whatever. I will rephrase. I don’t like it where people make Helen pregnant in fics over and over again. Like some fics she gets pregnant three times in a year, completely forgets about her job and goes completely out of character. Hence why I don’t continue reading them. You don’t all have to kick off about it. I was an untagged observation on my own blog.

I miss sanctuary with a passion!! That show made life bare able, even when you felt like the whole world was against you.
Helen Magnus taught me more about life than I could learn in school. She showed us how it isn’t wrong to be different, and that you should be proud of who you are and what you can achieve.
I have a copy of Sanctuary vow that someone wrote and I sob whenever I read it.
